Mac OS X Lion is the version 10.7 for Apple’s desktop and server operating system for Macintosh computers. Mac OS X Lion brings the many new developments made in Apple’s iOS. It ia tied with 250+ new features with the most famous LAUNCHPAD, Full Screen Apps, an easily navigable display of installed applications, to the Mac, and includes support for the Mac App Store and much more. Some of the new and changed features are Address Book, Airdrop, Address space layout randomization, Auto Save, Face Time, iCal, iChat, Languages/Localization, Mail 5 and QuickTime. Mac OS X Lion have also its server version Mac OS X Server which have the features, Wiki Server 3 (makes it easier to collaborate, share, and exchange information quickly and fast). File Sharing for iPad and Profile Manager (Profile Manager delivers simple, profile-based setup and management for Mac OS X Lion, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices). Some of the features also dropped such as Front Row, Java Runtime Environment, Adobe Flash Player and iSync.

Mac OS X Lion needs high system requirements as Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor with at least 2GB of RAM, 7 GB of free hard drive space, Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later.
